Credit cards should be 4096 bit public keys with a required passphrase of at
least 20 characters, or some sort of biological authentication (retinal scan,
heat print, etc)., each of which is signed by the bank's key. Consumers
should be provided a revocation cert as well, so it only takes seconds to
generate a new card should the old one be compromised.
The JavaCard can already do this (and American Express is starting to get on
board with the idea, given their ~4 Billion loss reports for last year due to
fraud).
