We should rather be here for the common good and to better life with the brief time we share on this Earth. Our explorations into space are truly a remarkable thing, it is helping us (yes that is humankind I am refering to) understand the wonders that surround us. Truly Jeff how much have you personally contributed to the NASA program. Probably less then .000000000001 so your little contribution is far from extortion. Btw, extortion is what cops do to criminals. Are you a criminal? Taxes are not voluntary but they do supply you sir with MANY MANY things you surely seem to take for granded. In so many words, look beyond your little existance and dreams for they affect the rest that inhabit this small little planet. And No the world does not revolve around you. Just for clarification. I am appauld!

After long while thinking... and I am grateful for the jolt the
astronauts
give us. Time to wake up , do a few things I love: as they did so well.
America was discovered by Vikings in ships nearly as dangerous as the
space shuttle. Then colonised by Europeans in heavy sailing ships much
more so. There is a tradition of discovery that is being carried on
into space. The Europeans are not far behind. I'm sure there were guys
sitting around saying I don't approve of this voyaging to the edge of
the earth , maybe we are hearing from their decendents on this list . If
you don't want to benifit from the space program , then turn off your
computer now , unplug your sat-tv and for that matter quit watching any
tv as it is all bounced off satellites .
No James , I think you ought to quit paying your taxes and spend a
little time at the expense of the taxpayers and maybe then you would
appreciate a little of what you have .
I think living on a polluted planet with at least 5,000 toxic organic
compounds in air, food and water around us is more ugly than the Twin
Towers burning or even more shocking than the shuttle exploding.
I don't expect everybody to agree, though.
BTW,
Sorry we missed "Install-fest" , it just lost it's appeal for us while
we waited to hear from friends & relatives at NASA-Houston . My uncle
hired the first seven astronauts and lived on the same street with them
in Hampton and Houston .
