If you're referring to the idea that Mongolians were the ones to cross the 
Bering Strait, then you'd be partially correct. The 'discovery' really 
lends itself more towards an idea that someone set out to find something. 
Really, the Mongolian tribes were nomadic peoples trying to find better 
food. I don't know if you'd had Mongolian bbq but from what I hear, in the 
way-before-BC time, it wasn't event really around. Mongolians aren't really 
Chinese. In fact, there really wasn't much of a 'China' then. Best to be 
assured that you could maybe call them 'asiatic' tribes. China is more 
south than Mongolia, and Mongolia is really more part of the Soviet stretch.

So, tovarisch, maybe it was more the Russians, eh? Beat them to the moon, 
but not to natural settlement of our own land ;)
