Stalin and Marx would be proud of you. They've probably got a pot of chicken
waiting for you over in Moscow with which I'm sure you'll gladly share with
all the rest of the starving x-socialists over there.

The police practice legalized extortion only when they enforce tax laws that
collect money for anything other than the protection of our collective right
to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Our government was created to
protect these rights and any funds collected to do anything other than this
function could safely be said to have been extorted from those collected
from.

  Extortion \Ex*tor"tion\, n. [F. extorsion.]
     1. The act of extorting; the act or practice of wresting
anything from a person by force, by threats, or by any
undue exercise of power; undue exaction; overcharge.

Because taxes are not voluntary by nature is what makes them extortion when
levied inappropriatly. All of these things you say I take for granted could
easily be provided by private industry. If every service that the government
now provides, beyond the protection of our collective rights, were provided
by private industry/charity I wouldn't be forced to pay for that unwed
mothers abortion. I wouldn't be forced to support someone who continues to
make poor choices in their life to the detriment of people who really need my
help.

God forbid I should think of myself. This is the problem with socialism,
nobody has enough value individually to be worth anything. It is because of
this apalling disregard for the individual that the citizens of socialist
countries suffer so. Does anybody really want America to become a Borg ship?
Because this is where the collective ultimately ends! Where is Picard when
you need him?

PS: I think this is another case of misguided direction of response. You were
probably upset with what I said and not Jeff. Caused by not top posting??? We
may never know... :)
