Re: [twuug] Space Shuttle Columbia blows up on reentry!

I don't think I forgot anything. The common (banding) goal was to provide for
the common defense of our collective right to life, liberty, and pursuit of
happiness.

The Internet was begun as a research project of DARPA, a defense agency, which
if you look back at all my postings you will see that I clearly defend as a
legitimate use of government. The Interstate road system has it's roots in a
defense project, it is by consent that we drive on them everyday. Computer
technology grew in a large part because of our huge reliance on them for
defense.

Yes I benefit from a lot of things initially developed for use in our defense.
As you can see our country benefits greatly when it focuses on it's core
comptencies, namely protection of our collective rights mentioned above.

If our nation is not defined by our Constitution, and sadly I have to agree
with you that it hasn't been for a long time, what is it defined by? Who's
agenda defines it, the current king who has just won the last popularity
contest? I prefer a president who takes an oath to defend the constitution
which defines his and the rest of governments place in our lives.

P.S. Am I doing this top posting thing right here? :)
