There was a picture of the glass cockpit from one of the shuttles in the
NASA Langley newspaper. It was pretty impressive. It reminded me of the
displays in the Canada Air jets. They are small cramped little buggers but
the cockpit instrumentation looks sweet.

A local friend of mine that is a NASA buff has Dish network I believe,
because they carry NASA TV. DirecTV and Cox do not, unfortunately.

I had set up some stuff on a netcast a couple of weeks ago to record in
mp3 and stream in mp3 shuttle to ground communications as they flew over
the east coast. It wasn't the Columbia, and the STL's from Z104/The Point
and such caused front end overloading of the icom receiver but there was
one or two communications that came thru.

This event prompted me to do some research. Found some neat stuff:

Check it out!

Also, if you start digging mission by mission you find that some are
classified. Unfortunately google let me down, and couldn't reveal exactly
what was classified about the missions.
