Computers have been used to justify vast increases in required processing,
when they were supposed to have been used to solve existing jobs.
Do a study on almost any processing done pre-computer, and you'll find
it is now less efficient.
I never have understood the penchant to make things over complicated.
People seem to think that complication == sophistication.
