They force so many changes, constantly, that you really don't end up
having a 5 year old system.
The changes most UNIX vendors do for legacy systems don't end up turning
it into a new release.
Microsoft rarely issues a fix that doesn't include crap you don't
need or want. They must have based their software upgrade process
on how the government introduces and passes new bills into law.
