I had heard that the Chinese had actually explored the Oregon 
coastline, but after researching this, the current thinking is that the 
person who wrote about this turns out to be inaccurate. So apparently, 
the Chinese didn't visit the Oregon coastline.

I still have to wonder how the Mayans and the Egyptians had such 
similar civilizations though. There has to be some connection between 
the two.

I still have a problem with the thought that Columbus or the Vikings 
"discovered" America. After all, there were people living here for 
quite a while before them. Civilized in fact. Forget what you read in 
grade school about the Indians living in teepees. There were actually 
ancient societies in this country.
