Pass the word on- time for the next TWUUG meeting:
What: The monthly TideWater Unix User's Group Meeting
Who: Everyone in TideWater/Hampton Roads with interest in any/
all flavors of Unix/Linux. There are no dues or signup
requirements. All are welcome to attend
Where: Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital in Norfolk-
Employee Cafeteria. See directions below.
Wireless and wired internet connection available.
When: 7:30 PM till whenever (usually 9:30ish) on Thursday, March 4
Agenda: Mark Davis will give a presentation on Quasar, an accounting
and POS system for Linux; complete with a real POS station.
Tony VanCampen will give a presentation on data recovery
techniques.
Cliff Hayes, a candidate running for city council in Newport
News will speak briefly about how his campaign includes
Open Source.
Mark will describe to the members the benefits of our having
joined the O'Riley Network and raffle two books that were
given to us by them.
Premeeting: We will have an informal pre-meeting dinner at Uno's
at 6:00pm, located in the Janaf area, facing
Virginia Beach Blvd & Military Highway.
Directions: Lake Taylor Hospital- 1309 Kempsville Road, Norfolk, VA

From Interstate 64:
Take the Military Highway South exit (exit 281).
Proceed south about 1/2 mile.
You will pass the Hilton, and Norfolk Tech.
Take a left on Lowery Road, which is between Farm Fresh and Walmart.
Lake Taylor Hospital will be on your left, before Kempsville Rd.
From Interstate 264:
Take the Military Highway North exit.
Proceed north about 1 mile.
You will pass Military Circle Mall.
Take a right on Lowery Road, which is between Farm Fresh & Walmart.
Lake Taylor Hospital will be on your left, before Kempsville Rd.
Enter the front parking lot (facing Kempsville), park in any space.
Enter through the "Main Entrance". Ask receptionist for directions if
necessary.
