  • Matthew Fillpot gave us a gimpse at a new distro called Bodhi Linux with a live boot. It is a minimal, rolling distro with Enlightenment desktop as the default.
  • Mark Davis gave a presentations on:
    • Android Linux for X86. The Android-x86 project has successfully ported Android 4.0 to the X86 architecture. Mark Davis demoed their release candidate 1 iso running on an EEEPC as a live boot. Amazingly, almost all the hardware works and it is fast, too.
    • Impromptu (with help) xrandr info. New options- like scaling.
  • New member Mark Vang gave a presentation on BOINC, a massively distributed computing meta-project. Users can download the Linux clients and then donate CPU computing time to a variety of different projects. Discussion about impact on machine and also confirmed its default running as nice -19 and ionice -c3.

Attendance: 15 members + 1 new + 0 returning + 3 visitors = 19 attendees, minimum.
