What is VirtualBox?

Virtual box is a user-friendly generally free virtualization product that is available for Linux, MacOSX and Windows that is available in both open and closed source versions.

What are the different versions and costs?

VirtualBox is available in both open and closed source versions, the opensource version generally has a few less functions than the closed source version so the developers can offer a benefit to their customers who purchase the full version. VirtualBox is free for personal use, but for Business use they request that licenses be purchased to receive additional benefits.

Can I see a demo of this program working?

I found a good demo of this program on YouTube, [1], but if you are interested in see more search YouTube for more videos.

How difficult is the installation?

In my situation I decided to install the closed source edition of VirtualBox, the installation was remarkably simple. Grab the file, run the file, restart the system then you are ready to go.

In Mandriva 2007.0 and above, VirtualBox is already available in the kernel, so installation is just a matter of loading the RPM.

Are there Installation Guides for VirtualBox?

I am working on installation guides for Slackware 12.0 and Ubuntu 7.1.
