Topics included: Laptops (what to buy, any issues), Germany's latest city declaring they are moving to Linux and LibreOffice, forks of Open Source projects that end up in bad stewardship (example of Oracle), VMware drama and alternatives, the blurring of different virtualization and containerization options (some of the many advantages and disadvantages), digital video surveillance systems (Synology) and NAS (network attached storage) uses, Unifi lack of MLAG (multi-chassis link aggregation groups), modern laptop "suspend" problems (courtesy of Microsoft/Intel), coding with ChatGPT assistance, and much more.
